Stormquackers? Ducktroopers?

Whether we're ready or not, we're all about to be bowled over by a tidal wave of merchandise from the upcoming movie Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens. And the movie doesn't even open for another six months!

Here's a shot of the new stormtrooper armor used in the film. Overall it's not a bad update to the classic design. It's sleek, streamlined and looks like a natural progression from the old armor.

That said, there's something odd about that new helmet design. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but there's some nagging little detail that just seems... off to me.

There it is! That's what I was seeing. The central section of the helmet looks a lot like a duck's bill.

And now that you've seen it, you'll never be able to unsee it. You're welcome!

I suppose this was inevitable, since Disney now owns Star Wars, that they'd try and shoehorn some of their characters into the franchise. Even if it's subliminally.
