This illustration went through a lot of versions and revisions. Like always, it started out as a sketch.
Which then led to this drawing. I stared at it for a week or so, and decided I just didn't like it. There was just something about it that I didn't like. I think part of the problem was that he looked more like a cliched jungle tribesman than an urban body mod enthusiast.
So I tried again. I got rid of his unruly mop of hair and gave him a shaved head, and that seemed to help.
